Winterplace Ski and Snowboard School provides a fun and educational experience for our skiing and snowboarding guests in a safe, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We promise you will learn how to ski or snowboard or you can take the class again Absolutely FREE! Teaching First Timers is a proud tradition at Winterplace. Winterplace is proud member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America. No one does it better, no one makes it more fun! The Ski School meets at the Ski School bell located behind the Resort Center slope-side deck, next to the top of Chairlift 5.
Terrain Based Learning
Skiers and boarders learn the basics on our Specially Designed Terrain Based Teaching area with 2 Super Carpet Lifts. Then beginner skiers and boarders may move on to our chairlifts which open up a variety of beginner slopes (green circle trails) to practice stops and turns.
Learn-To-Ski & Snowboard Package: BOOK LEARN TO SKI PACKAGE BOOK LEARN TO SNOWBOARD PACKAGE
The ultimate entry-level program. Package includes a Full Day Beginner Lift Ticket, Equipment Rental & a 90 Minute Group Lesson (limited to ages 8 years old and up). A beginner lift ticket is valid for lifts 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Lessons begin at 10am on weekdays and are given at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm. Lessons begin at 9am on weekends and holiday periods and are given on the hour, every hour until 6pm. Hours may vary during Value Season.

Group Lessons - Enjoy the fun and dynamics of a group lesson. Group lessons are available for skiers and snowboarders. Group lessons are divided according to age and ability level. Class size ranges from 8 to 10 students per class. Group lesson times are available every two hours starting at 10am until 6pm on weekdays and every hour starting at 10am on weekends and holidays. Class length - 90 minutes; limited to ages 8 and up.

Private Lessons* Book Private Lesson
The ultimate learning experience for skiers and snowboarders. A one-on-one teacher to student ratio where all the learning happens at your pace. Select your own instructor or we can select one for you based on your present skills. Private Lessons available on the hour starting at 10am on weekdays until 6pm and 10am on weekends until 6pm. Class length - 60 minutes; class size limited to 4 persons. If desired lesson time and date are sold out for additional availability, please call 800-607-SNOW (7669).
*Please Note - Private Lessons do not include a Lift Ticket or Rental Equipment. You must have a VALID Lift Ticket to be admitted to the slopes. Lift Tickets, Rental Equipment, and Snowtubing Tickets may be purchased any time, any day at Winterplace.com or at any Winterplace Ticketing Window.
*To purchase the Semi-Private Lesson you must first purchase a private lesson and then each additional person would cost $59. (up to 3 people). Two people taking a private lesson at the same time, with the instructor would cost $99. + $59. = $158.

We use a specialized instructional program that provides the best learning environment for children to learn to ski and snowboard. SkiWee & Snow Explorers uses a group format dividing children by age and ability, along with the widely recognized game-changing Terrain Based Learning methodology.
