SKIWEE is a specialized instruction program for children ages 4-11. It provides the best learning environment and most economical way for children to learn to ski and snowboard. Price includes: full mountain lift ticket, rental equipment, and group lessons, plus a hot lunch with a full day session.

Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Late reservations will be permitted if space allows. When calling to make a reservations we require the following information: name, height, weight, shoe size, ability level, and a credit card number to hold the reservation.

Parents: SkiWee easy as 1, 2, SKI!

1. Check in at the Ski School Desk.
2. Drop off children at the SkiWee Center.
3. Then off you go to ski.

SKIWEE uses a group format dividing children by age and ability. Group sizes average from 4-8 children per instructor; and is appropriate for children ages 4-11. Please be aware of pick up times for all sessions. Please do not ask that we change these standards.

Children younger than the age of 4 do not usually have the stamina, coordination, or attention span to begin learning how to ski properly. Children over the age of 11 usually lose interest in the program and become bored and frustrated. SkiWee emphasizes having fun and learning, we want your children to love the sport.

1. Come rested and fed! Breakfast is very important.
2. Bring stuff to stay warm and dry!
3. Get ready to slide and have FUN!

When learning something new it is important to listen to your instructor, be patient, and have fun. So come ready to learn. We are out on the snow most of the day. Clothing layers that fit and are waterproof are important for comfort. Eyeware is stongly recommended.

We,here at Winterplace, believe that the Childrens Center is the optimum learning program for your child.

There are other ski school options. Children 6 and older may take part in a group lesson; under 6, consider a 1-hour private lesson.

Day care is available and reservations can be made through the Ski School desk as well.

Full day and Half day

8am - 9am - Arrival and Registration Period (You must be checked in by 9am or your reservation is subject to cancellation)

8:45am - 9:45am - Equipment and Clothing Preparation

10am - 12pm - On the Snow

12pm - Pick up for Half Day AM Children

12pm - 1pm - Lunch for Full Day SkiWee participants

12:15pm - 12:45pm - Arrival and Registration for Half Day PM SkiWee (please do not arrive at Children's Center before 12:30pm)

12:30pm - 12:45pm - Equipment and Clothing Preparation

1:00pm - 2:30pm - On the Snow

2:30pm - 3:00pm - Snack and Rest Period

3pm - 4pm - On the Snow

4pm - Classes end. Parents please pick up children and their belongings. You may also review progress cards with instructors at this time.

4pm - 10pm - Parents may ski with children

NOTE: This schedule is a guideline and may change due to fatigue, age of children, or weather.

After-School Program

Good Monday-Thursday (Non-Holiday):

4:00pm - 4:30pm - Arrival and Registration Period (You must be checked in by 4:30pm or your reservation is subject to cancellation)

4:15pm - 4:45pm - Equipment and Clothing Preparation

5:00pm - 6:30pm - On the Snow

6:30pm - 7:00pm - Snack and Rest Period

7pm - 8pm - On the Snow

8pm - Classes end. Parents please pick up children and their belongings. You may also review progress cards with instructors at this time.

All lift tickets and rental equipment are valid through 10pm.

All rental equipment kept after SKIWEE hours must be returned to the rental shop, located on the main level of the Resort Center .

Winterplace Staff reserves the right in the event of a sick or disruptive child and/or a child that is not interested in the skiing portion of the program to be moved indoors.

Additional multi-day rates available upon request.
Weekday rates are good Monday - Friday non-holiday periods only.
Holiday periods are December 24 - January 1, January 19-21 and February 16-18, 2008.
