Lids on Kids

SKIWEE is a really big, fun time for the youngest skiers and riders in the family ages 4 thru 11.  Tickets, equipment, supervision, instruction, lunch, snacks and LOTS OF FUN are all included! 

This specialized instructional program provides the best learning environment for children to learn to ski and snowboard. SkiWee uses a group format dividing children by age and ability.  Group sizes range from 4-8 children per instructor. The program is appropriate for children ages 4-11 years of age.  Children younger than 4 years of age usually do not have the stamina, coordination or the attention span to begin learning how to ski properly.  SkiWee emphasizes having fun while learning.  We want your child/children to love the sport! 

Reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance.  If space allows, late reservations will be permitted.  To make a reservation simply call 1-800-607-7669, Ext. 122 or 304-787-3221, Ext. 122 and have the following information: Name, Height, Weight, Shoe size, Ability level, and a Credit card number to hold your spot.

Parents ~ SkiWee is easy as 1, 2, SKI!

  1. Upon arrival - check in at the Ski School Desk located on the lower level of the Resort Center.
  2. After check in, proceed to the SkiWee building where you will leave your children for a day of FUN!
  3. Then off you go to ski.

  1. Come rested and fed! Breakfast is very important.
  2. Bring stuff to stay warm and dry!
  3. Get ready to slide and have FUN!

Parents and Children ~ Helpful Tips - When learning something new it is important to listen to your instructor, be patient, and have fun. So come ready to learn. We are out on the snow most of the day. Clothing layers that fit and are waterproof are important for comfort. Protective eyeware is strongly recommended, i.e. sunglasses or goggles along with sunscreen for those sunny days.

8:00am - 9:00am - Arrival / Check-in & Registration (please be checked in by 9am or your reservation maybe subject to cancellation).

9:00am - 10:00 - Equipment & Clothing Preparation 

10:00am - 12:00pm - On the Snow

12:00pm - Parents pick up Half Day AM SkiWee participants

12:00pm - 1:00pm - Lunch for Full Day SkiWee participants

Half Day SkiWee Program:

12:30pm - 1:00pm - Arrival / Registration / Equipment and Clothing Preparation for Half Day PM SkiWee participants (Please be checked in at the SkiWee Building by 12:45pm or your reservation maybe subject to cancellation).

1:00pm - 2:30pm - On the Snow

2:30pm - 3:00pm - Snack and Rest Period

3:00pm - 4:00pm - On the Snow

4:00pm - Classes end. Parents please pick up children and their belongings. You may also review progress cards with instructors at this time.

4:00pm - 10:00pm - Parents may ski with their children.  Parents ~ If it is after 4:00pm when returning rental gear, please return the gear to the Rental Shop located on the main level of the Resort Center. 

NOTE: This schedule is a guideline and may change due to weather, age of children, or fatigue.

Other Ski School Options: 

Children 6 years of age and over can take a group lesson or a private lesson.  Children under the age of 6 can take a private lesson.

Weekday rates are good Monday - Friday, Non-Holiday periods only.
